Every discovery is compared against the existing OneConsent Data Inventory. Matched records are validated, unmatched records become inventory candidates for user approval.

Workflow: Discovered data → match existing inventory → if matched, validate/update the existing record; if not matched, create a New Discovery inventory candidate. Manually maintained inventory records are never overwritten automatically.
